  10. Prepare 1/4 teaspoon of pepper.

  13. Prepare 3 of tomatoes roughly chopped.
  14. You need 2 teaspoon of melon seeds.
  15. You need 3 tbsp of cashews.
  16. You need 1 of bay leaf.
  17. You need 4 of cardamom.
  18. It’s 1 inch of cinnamon stick.
  19. It’s 1/2 teaspoon of jeera.
  20. It’s 1/2 cup of cream.

  24. You need 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric.
  25. It’s 1.5 tbsp of coriander powder.
  26. It’s 3 tbsp of chopped coriander leaves.
  27. Prepare 1 teaspoon of lemon juice.
  28. You need 1 of small capsicum cubed.
  29. You need 1 of tomato deseeded and cubed.
  30. Prepare of Water as required.
  31. It’s 3 tbsp of oil.
  32. Prepare 1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste.

Chicken Tikka Masala step by step

  1. In a bowl, mix all ingredients mentioned under Marination section. Add chicken and marinate well.
  2. Cover and keep it aside for 1 hour.
  3. Insert chicken into skewers. Grease grill pan and grill chicken on all sides. It should be well browned. Keep the cooked tikka aside.
  4. Soak cashews in warm water for 30 minutes. Discard the water.
  5. Grind cashews and tomatoes to form smooth puree.
  6. Heat oil in a pan, add bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and splutter cumin seeds.
  7. Add onions and saute until Brown.
  8. Add ginger garlic paste and saute until raw aroma goes away.
  9. Add all spice powders except garam masala to the pan and mix well.
  10. Add salt and puree. Saute until oil starts leaving the sides.
  11. Cut chicken tikka in smaller pieces. Add tikka to the pan and mix well.
  12. Add water and bring to boil.
  13. Add cubed onions and cook for 4 minutes.
  14. Add cubed capsicum and tomatoes. Cook for 2 minutes.
  15. Add coriander leaves, lemon juice, garam masala and cream. Mix well. Cook for few seconds. Switch off.
  16. Serve hot with roti or naan.
